FROEDGE, John - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Veedersburg - John Froedge, 86 of Veedersburg died at 12:50 a.m. today in Ben Hur Nursing Home at Crawfordsville. Mr. Froedge moved to Veedersburg in 1916. He retired in 1966 from Harrison Steel Co. at Attica, where he was employed 46 years. He was born March 14, 1893, in Metcalf Co KY a son of Alex and Sally Hurt Froedge. On June 19, 1916 he was married at Glasgow, KY to the former Eva Lee Faris, who survives. Other survivors are two sons, Raymond Froedge of Veedersburg and Davis "Pete" Froedge of Rt 2, Veedersburg; two daughters, Dorothy Lightle of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Bonnie (Marge) Hughes o Huntington; a brother, Ray Froedge of Attica; two sisters, Ora Green of Williamsport; and Gertie Stingley of Lafayette; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, two brothers and two sisters. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Dickerson Funeral Home at Veedersburg with the Rev. James Bushfield officiating. Burial will be in Osborne Prairie Cemetery near Stone Bluff. Friends may call 2-4 p.m. or 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. - typed by kbz
